Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Cherrapunji | Sightseeing Tour
Welcome to Guwahati! Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, enjoy a scenic drive to Cherrapunji. En route, make a stop at Umiam Lake, known for its beauty and crystal-clear water. Then, visit the two-tiered Elephant Falls and spot fossils on the cave walls of the Arwah Caves. Also, marvel at the powerful cascade of the Seven Sisters Falls and witness India’s highest plunge waterfall, the Nohkalikai Falls, plunging from 1,115 ft. Later, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Trek to Nongriat Double Decker Living Root Bridge
In the morning, get driven to Tyrna Village & begin your scenic trek to the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Soak in the rustic charm of the village before descending nearly 3,000 stone steps through dense forest trails. Upon reaching Nongriat, marvel at this living marvel—an intricate bridge formed by intertwining banyan tree roots over generations by the Khasi tribe. Transfer to Shillong | En Route Visit Dawki | Trip to Krang Shuri Falls & Laitlum Canyon
After checking out, get driven to Shillong with stops en route. Start with a visit to the Umngot River in Dawki, one of Asia’s cleanest lakes, where you can opt for a boat ride. Also, enjoy water activities (at extra cost) at Shnongpdeng before heading to Krang Shuri Falls, famous for its turquoise pool and natural rock formations. Later, ascend to Laitlum Canyon, offering amazing views of narrow valleys & rolling Khasi Hills. Afterwards, check in at the hotel in Shillong for an overnight stay.
Visit to Kamakhya Devi Temple | Departure Day
After checking out, youwill be transferred to the Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya, symbolising feminine energy and fertility. Perched atop the Nilachal Hill, this ancient temple dates back to the 8th century and is a key pilgrimage site, attracting nearly a million devotees each year. Later, you will be driven to the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey. This marks the end of your trip.
